The Fort Worth Convention Center spans 14 blocks of the city's Central Business District. The city purchased the facility from Tarrant County in 1997 and is now turning the facility into a 21st Century Convention and event showcase.
Expansion began in the spring of 2000 and is expected to be complete by 2003.
The Convention Center remains open during expansion and hosts a wide range of events including: conventions, conferences, corporate meetings, sporting events, concerts, trade shows, banquets and consumer shows.
